updates/devotional thought 3/25/20
Hello Walnut Family,

Happy Wednesday.  Hope this finds you and your family doing well and staying healthy.  Just wanted to communicate a few things to you:

>>Heartlight.org and VerseoftheDay.com are two great resources for daily devotional thoughts.

>>In your email you will find some material for little children and primary aged children.  Hope this will be a good resource for you to work on with your kids for Sunday.  My message this Sunday, March 29th will be on Worry from Matthew 6.  This children's story goes right along with the theme.

>>Remember, you can pick up pre-packaged all-in-one communion elements at the church office Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 3:30.  There are lots of recipes for communion bread on Facebook and Pinterest if it's easier for you to do that.

>>Andrew will be leading a youth class tonight at 6:30 on Instagram Live.  Make sure your kids are following walnutcocyouth and are tuned in on time.

>>Our church website has been updated and you can now watch all of our updates/devotional thoughts, videos, and worship services there.  Go to walnutchurchofchrist.org and look for the red banner across the top.   Click on "Read More" and "Watch Video."

I want to say Thank You to all of our Walnut church family. This has been a crazy time, but you have responded with kindness, a strong faith, and with great hope. Thank you for being understanding and loving.  As I often say, “there’s a great Spirit among our church.”  Together, we will get through this. Together, we will stand firm. Together, we will move forward and be a stronger church.

I read this in my devotional time this morning:  Let thankfulness temper all your thoughts.  A thankful mind-set keeps you in touch with Me.  Thankfulness is a safeguard against the grumbling and complaining we sometimes do.  Spend time meditating on Hebrews 12:28-29; Philippians 4:8-9; Colossians 3:16.

We know God’s hand is everywhere on this unexpected journey, and His provisions are always sufficient. May he continue to bless you and your family!

Love you and Miss you!

Patrick
